This is What I Think About Poetry - Do You Agree?

Poetry without any element of doubt remains one of the deepest forms of expression in the literary world and there are several reasons why this is so.

For instance, while the average reader might pick up a work of prose and enjoy the thrill of reading a story narrated from point 'A' (beginning) to point 'B' (the end), poetry usually requires more than a single read.

This explains why a poem like 'The Washer Woman's Prayer' or 'Richard Cory' would strike the reader on such a subliminal note that the mind is lured towards breezing through the verses yet again.

Such is one of the distinct features of poetry.

Is there any one out there who agrees or disagrees with this?
